    The New Balance DC650i is an entry-level English willow bat.

    This is the most affordable rung of English willow, with heavier natural marking and irregular grain. Knock it in properly and it is a serious step up from Kashmir willow for developing players.

    The A designation is the higher selection within this grade — more grains on the face and cleaner willow than the equivalent B cleft.

    New Balance brought its performance-engineering approach to cricket in 2015 and its bats are now used at the highest level of the international game.
