    The New Balance DC 700i Max is a Grade 4 English willow bat.

    Grade 4 English willow is the entry point into genuine English willow: expect visible butterfly stain, knots or irregular grain. It will need a proper knock-in, and it gives you real willow performance at close to a Kashmir willow price.

    The B designation sits just below the A selection in the same grade, usually meaning a little more natural marking for a lower price.
